Chocolate Chip Cookie Cake

homemade chocolate chip cookie cakeThis week I made my favorite chocolate chip cookie recipe into a cookie cake, but adding a little extra baking soda, pressing the dough into a cake pan, and baking it longer than usual. 🙂 It’s fun to change recipes every now and then!

I realized, though, that I left all my cake decorating tips at my mom’s house when I got married nearly 9 months ago.  Oops!  I cut out a corner of a plastic bag for this one, but it leaves a little to be desired. 😉 I’ll have to get my decorating tips from her soon.

I also wanted to do a little shout-out today for the Recipes Happen Facebook page!  It has over 900 likes now, which I think is pretty awesome, but I’d love even more. 🙂 If you could take 20 seconds of your time and go “like” it, I’d appreciate it a lo!!

About recipeshappen

I'm Bonnie. I'm a pharmacy technician and new wife to Bogdan. I love cooking, usually without recipes. I love good sales and coupons, but haven't quite figured out the best way to find them. I make the typical new-wife mistakes and have burned my share of cookies. I like a cold house and a hot shower all year long.

Yep the plastic sandwich bag is the old stand by for decorating cakes. I too used one Bonnie until I bought myself a decorating kit at Williams-Sonoma.

But not having something on hand or at the moment…but doing something inventive to over come that’s conquering in the kitchen.

Thanks for sharing Bonnie!! I Liked you on your Face Book page!! Hope you can Like my FB page as well. Thanks. 🙂
