Perfect Corn on the Cob

How I made my:

Perfect Corn on the Cob

1. Husk the corn and remove all those pesky little strings.

2. Place ears in a big pot.  Put about one or one and one-half inches of water in the pan.

3. With a lid on the pan, heat at high or medium-high heat until boiling.  Resist the urge to lift the lid!  You will be able to tell it has come to a good boil by the way it sounds and how hot the lid is.

4. When it’s cooking really well, turn down the heat and cook for 6 minutes.  Do not open the lid during this time.

5.  Drain, and place on a platter to serve!

Everyone can slather their ears of corn with butter, salt, and pepper and get corn stuck between their teeth. 🙂

About recipeshappen

I'm Bonnie. I'm a pharmacy technician and new wife to Bogdan. I love cooking, usually without recipes. I love good sales and coupons, but haven't quite figured out the best way to find them. I make the typical new-wife mistakes and have burned my share of cookies. I like a cold house and a hot shower all year long.
