If only I could always be so lucky!
My flights out to California were relatively uneventful, but I was excited to arrive. I haven’t really taken any pictures out and about yet, I suppose because it is not my first time here. My friend Katrina and I mainly home-bodies anyway, though, so we love to stay home and cook!
Yesterday we made:
- Scrambled eggs with peppers and onions for breakfast
- Cole Slaw and Sweet Potato Cheddar Soup for lunch (with with butternut squash and yams, instead of sweet potatoes! It was successful!)
- Homemade Flour Tortillas (new recipe, YUM!), Homemade Salsa, and fajitas for dinner
and…
- Crinkle Cookies for a snack.
I believe today we plan to go to my favorite place in California: Nubi Yogurt!

Looks like fun!
Glad your having a good time with your friends in California. I grew up there in South Gate.
Here in Idaho now with 2 feet of snow in my hard. So be glad for the warmth that California has to offer. Even this time of year.
Thanks for sharing. The salsa looks great.

sounds like you’re having a good time.
Yep
Oh how the thought of salsa in California makes me homesick. I’m a Southern California girl and really miss my salsa from home. All of those fresh veggies available.
Yes, I love how much cheaper the veggies are here. Yummy.
